What a great idea! I am very excited about your site, Jenna! I will definately be asking you questions and it is great to know that I can get answers from a nutrition expert!

Dear Jenna T.
What an outstanding blog you have written!
I am so proud of you.
I was very interested in the article about soy milk as I am lactose intollerent and I drink soy milk. That was very enlightning.

[...] serious? Durham is ghetto. Loveland is great. Austin is slightly overrated, but fun. Shout to The Braddocks for some St. Augustine love. Great place. Strange by the Fort, but cool. [...]
I happened on here and just wanted to let you know what a wonderful job I think you’ve done…such a great service to your customers and all those of us that need support making positive nutrition choices! We continue to wish you success! Love, Aunt Enid

I am finishing my bachelor’s degree in psychology at U of South Carolina and want to do graduate work in nutrition/dietetics. I read the article you posted but am still confused.. Am I at a disadvantage because I don’t have a bachelors in nutrition or dietetics? I would like to be both a nutritionist and dietician (if there is a difference, I’m not sure). My goal is be set up for as many career options as possible but I’m not sure of the best way to go about that. Help!
Sarah,
In order to become a dietitian, there are several steps. First you need to have a degree in an approved dietetics program. Second, you have to apply for and be accepted for an accredited dietetic internship. Third, you have to sit for a board certification exam. I think it is grea to combine psycology and nutrition (psychology is my minor) but you need the 4 year degree. You may be able to take the classes you need to be approved for the internship and not necessarily get another degree. Check out the American Dietetic Association’s website for further details: http://www.eatright.org.
Let me know if you have other questions. I am happy to help. And thanks for checking out my blog. Spread the word!

With so much nutrition information out there, sometimes you just need a fresh perspective. Written by a registered dietitian, sports fan and food lover.
